Save the date: 29 November 2026, “Stay With Us!” at Deutsches Museum Bonn

“Stay With Us!” is a museum-specific adaptation of the interactive audio-dance performance “The Future Is Us” by VR Dance Club, created for the Deutsches Museum Bonn. The work combines headphone choreography, participatory movement, AI voices, spatial positioning, and social interaction into an interactive, performative experiment exploring political and social polarization.

Twenty-one visitors enter a room together but are divided into three invisible groups via their headphones. Each group hears a different AI voice, different instructions, and different narratives. While everyone shares the same situation, three distinct perceptual realities emerge. What means protection for some feels like exclusion to others. What is an invitation to some appears as an intrusion to others. What is perceived as a free choice may long have been part of a choreographed systemic logic. The performance explores how community, responsibility, and democratic action take shape at the micro level: in the gaze, in the distance, in the decision to follow or avoid someone. In doing so, it does not explain the mechanisms of algorithmic filter bubbles – as we know them, for example, from social media – and political polarization in abstract terms, but rather makes them physically tangible.
