06th & 07th June 2026 – Hybrid Encounters @ Deutsches Museum Bonn

Anna-Carolin Weber & Tobias Kopka (VR Dance Club) invite you to a unique virtual reality dance experience. In this performative installation, visitors can enjoy a very unique dance experience. Invisible movement sculptures from past dance encounters are made visible through new movements. By putting on a VR headset and headphones, museum guests enter a dark, previously invisible space. There they encounter a trail of movement that fills the virtual space weightlessly like a sculpture. This is not the only invitation to dance. In pairs, participants take turns dancing, drawing, and observing. Accompanied by a sense of immediacy, they immerse themselves, discover how others have moved, “swim” with 3D sculptures, and are with themselves yet not alone. This leads to nonverbal encounters with dances long past and new acquaintances made through play.
