Tobias Kopka is an artist and experience designer working at the intersection of game design, virtual reality, and participatory performance. Together with Anna-Carolin Weber, he forms the artistic direction of VR Dance Club, developing mixed reality performances that explore asymmetric interaction, embodied technology, and collective experience.

His artistic practice is rooted in a long engagement with digital culture, community, and the question of how technology shapes human encounter. He brings to VR Dance Club a background in interaction design, systems thinking, and the design of participatory formats — asking how game mechanics and choreographic thinking can generate new forms of connection between people.

He holds an M.A. in Media Studies and is a certified Systemic Coach trained at the University of Cologne. He has lectured in higher education for over seven years and is a co-founder of the Art of Coding initiative, which brought the Demoscene onto UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.
