René*e Reith are a choreographer, performer, dramaturge, and dance scholar. As part of their artistic-scientific doctoral studies at the MUK in Vienna, they are writing their dissertation on the staging of transness in contemporary dance and performance. Their productions have been shown at Temps d'M Charleville-Mézières, Ballhaus Ost in Berlin, and Kampnagel Hamburg, among others. Both their queer-feminist perspective and the close connection between theory and practice have been recognized with the Research Award of the Society for Dance Research and the Fritz Wortelmann Prize. They have also worked for the Universities of Hildesheim and Stockholm, the FSJ Kultur education program, the Federal Academy for Cultural Education in Wolfenbüttel, and the Round Table “Accessibility / Gender Diversity” of the Performing Arts Fund.
