\u201cI Am The (Authy) Way\u201d by Anna-Carolin Weber & Tobias Kopka (VR Dance Club) is an interactive, participatory audio-dance performance about language, gestures, and movement patterns of power. It is based on the observation that authority today arises less through hierarchies than through self-presentation in the media and embodiment. The work explores how power is performatively generated through language and gestures and choreographed through collective dynamics, and how these mechanisms become individually visible, experiential, and negotiable.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Up to 60 visitors and performers share a space without the traditional separation between stage and audience. Through silent-disco headphones, they receive distorted spoken prompts, rhythmic instructions, and emotional appeals. Voices \u2013 ranging from authoritative to poetic \u2013 prompt movement and decision. The space is choreographed through a combination of sound, video projection, and dance movement. It invites visitors to uncover the mechanisms at play through their own independent actions. At the intersection of collective pull and individual action, a choreography emerges that makes authority, empathy, and responsibility physically tangible.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

\u201cI Am The (Authy) Way\u201d focuses on physical co-presence in the post-digital space: How do authoritarian dynamics arise when physical, human bodies and their media representations intertwine? The central question becomes palpable through the body: How far do we go along with it? When does resistance arise? And how does it feel to opt out, to be left out? Afterwards, visitors leave the space: the tension between leading and following remains tangible, and open questions about authority stay with them.<\/p>\n

Each performance is followed by a moderated discussion.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
